How long is the treatment process with Invisalign®?

The length of treatment can vary from person to person. Typically, you can anticipate about twelve to eighteen months of treatment, sometimes shorter or longer depending on your individual needs and how complex your case is.

Dr. Graham recommends wearing your aligners for at least twenty-two hours per day, only taking them out to eat or drink anything other than water.

No, clear aligners should not hurt. However, you may experience slight discomfort or soreness when switching into a new set of aligners.

Aligners should only be cleaned using water, special cleaning crystals or a gentle soap. Never clean them by soaking them in mouthwash or scrubbing them with toothpaste, as this can cause them to warp or become scratched.

The best thing to do is call our office and explain the situation. If it is outside of business hours, we recommend wearing the aligners from either your previous or upcoming set, depending on which you are closest to. This will help keep your smile from shifting in the wrong direction.
